About Me

This is me and my baby sister at Niagra Falls where I presented at the National College Learning Center Association national conference.

Hello.  My name is Christine Deacons and I am a student success expert with a passion for helping individuals learn and rethinking the way we deliver education.  I come from a family of educators which probably explains my lifelong love of teaching and learning….it’s in my DNA!  Throughout my career in higher education and educational technology I’ve had the honor to work with great colleagues who share my mission to support student learning in and out of the classroom.  We are always exploring new and innovative ways to do this.

When I’m not working on projects related to student success, I like to spend time with my friends and family – traveling, cooking, crafting, and just loving life.  I live in Michigan with my husband.

I’m excited to share with you what we have learned about student transitions, teaching, and learning.
